Who Speaks For Casey Sheehan?Does Cindy Speak For Casey? In all the hype about Cindy’s grief over her son’s death, no one is asking what her son, Casey, would say about his mother’s actions. Cindy can speak for herself but Casey cannot. Where are the reporters that talked to Casey’s friends, Casey’s father, or members of Casey’s unit. Where are Casey’s words? Would Casey agree with his mother’s action or would he be ashamed that his death is being used to promote such anti-American hate? Would Casey appreciate that his death is being used to denigrate the very thing he was willing to place himself in harm’s way for? No, I didn’t know Casey Sheehan or anyone that personally knew him but even Cindy says he re-joined the service and viewed going to Iraq as part of his duty. Rumor has it that Cindy suggested that he run off to Canada but that Casey refused. All we really know for sure is that Casey decided to go of his own free will and that his mother was unhappy with his decision. So, who speaks for Casey? It appears that Cindy is using her son’s death to promote her agenda and her ideas. From Casey’s actions, it would appear he would not be pleased to have his mother taking away the ideals he lived by. It appears that Cindy speaks for herself and not for her son. Cindy speaks from her own ideology not from the ideology of her son. Cindy is using a very tragic event to promote her views rather then to honor and to promote her son’s views. Cindy has chosen to use her son’s death for her benefit rather than to honor her son’s sacrifice. She cheapens herself but mostly she disgraces her son’s bravery for her own aspirations. Who speak for Casey Sheehan - surely not his mother Cindy. It would help if those who really knew Casey, who worked with Casey, and especially those who served with Casey would speak for him now that he cannot speak for himself. I suspect some may have tried but the media prefers the image of a grieving, anti-American mother to that of a brave, pro-American son and soldier. http://www.drudgereport.com/flashcs.htm Author: Don Miller
